SanDisk introduced iNAND Extrem Flash Memory for Tablet PCs and mobile devices
SanDisk introduced iNAND Extreme EFD (Embedded Flash Drive - embedded flash drive) - the first product line of SanDisk, is designed to work in the "top" models of Tablet PCs and other mobile devices that are running, as the company claims, advanced operating systems.
New memory modules provide, according to the manufacturer, up to 50 megabytes per second when recording and up to 80 MB / sec sequential read. Such high velocities should be useful in devices that provide opportunities for HD video and 3D-HD content and transfer large amounts of data via interface USB 3.0.
Memory modules iNAND Extreme EFD have size 12h16 mm (played by JEDEC) and a height of only 1 mm. Memory capacity is 16 GB (in the future he will be expanded to 64 GB). The beginning of the first batches of shipments for manufacturers by SanDisk is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
