Samsung introduced a slim external DVD-burner drive

Samsung Electronics has announced a new external DVD-burner drive SE-208AB, equipped with a thin glossy case of the aerodynamic shape, which is combined with the design of the new notebook series Samsung. The electrical energy required for operation of the drive is supplied via USB-interface, which eliminates the need for a separate power supply.

DVD-drive SE-208AB compatible with all major operating systems including Windows 7 and Mac OS. In addition, the device supports Buffer Under Run, which prevents errors that occur when the reading speed exceeds the speed of data transmission. At the same time, this technology speeds up your PC with multi-tasking applications.

Used in the model SE-208AB exclusive technology makes it easy to connect the Samsung drive to multimedia TVs USB-ports, as well as play audio and video. This technology has been improved over previous versions, which could recognize only the first directory and one thousand files. Model SE-208AB now provides access up to the fifth sub-directories and supports more than 3 thousand files.

In addition to this, a new external drive supports a variety of recording speed for different types of media: 24X CD-ROM, 24X CD-RW, 8X DVD ± R, 5X DVD-RAM, 6X dual-layer DVD + R, 6X DVD-dual layer R, 8X DVD + RW and 6X DVD-RW.
