Yoigo and RIM Launch the BlackBerry Solution in Spain

Madrid, Spain and Waterloo, ON - Yoigo introduced the BlackBerry® solution for its customers in Spain. The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, phone, organizer, web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications. Yoigo customers will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry smartphones to stay connected to people and information while on the go.

Yoigo will offer BlackBerry® Internet Service for all its clients. BlackBerry Internet Service is an easy-to-use, convenient, low-cost solution that provides users with access to the Internet, up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts, BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger) and popular social networking sites like Facebook® and Twitter™. It also provides access to a wide range of mobile applications on BlackBerry App World™.

Yoigo is offering the BlackBerry® Torch™, BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G and BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520smartphones, which will be available from 0 euros. The BlackBerry service will be available without registration or monthly fees, both for contract customers and pay as you go plans, as long as a data plan is included, that is, “La del Cuatro” or “La del Seis”, “La del Ocho” and “La del Cero” with Internet Voucher 8 or 15. It will also be available for Yoigo’s takeaway Internet contracts.

The BlackBerry Torch smartphone features an exciting combination of a large touch screen, optical trackpad and backlit slide-out BlackBerry keyboard. It offers support for high-speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks around the world, includes the latest generation in Wi-Fi® (b/g/n) connectivity and features built-in GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging. Its 5 MP camera takes exceptional pictures, and it also supports video recording. It also features the BlackBerry® 6 operating system.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone features a highly compact design, a comfortable full-QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad for smooth navigation. The smartphone supports high-speed 3G networks (HSDPA), includes built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, and features dedicated media keys, so music lovers can easily access their tunes while on the go. The BlackBerry Curve 3G also features a camera that can record video and a microSD/SDHC slot that supports up to 32 GB memory cards for media storage. Support for 3G networks makes browsing faster and give users the option of talking on the phone while they browse the web, send instant messages with BBM or share their location with friends on social networking sites.

The highly-approachable BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone features a compact design with an easy-to-use keyboard for typing and an innovative optical trackpad that makes scrolling and selection smooth and easy for a great user experience. It also includes Wi-Fi, a camera that can record video and an expandable memory card slot for additional media storage.
