The introduction of mobile broadband and the rising data volumes from Smartphones and tablets have made assuring network performance and customer experience business critical for operators. Ericsson’s innovative application for performance management, ENIQ, has been recognized by an award at the Sybase TechWave 2011 conference in Las Vegas.
Ericsson Network IQ (ENIQ) is Ericsson’s multi-vendor performance management OSS solution for mobile broadband assurance. One of the main components of ENIQ is the Sybase IQ database architecture that is the key to storing and fast retrieving the enormous amounts of information continuously collected from the network. The architecture provides optimized retrieval of data for reporting, making ENIQ an uniquely flexible and efficient performance management platform.
Martin Sjöstrand, head of Ericsson's product line OSS, says: "We are extremely pleased to receive this award from Sybase recognizing our innovation and leadership in OSS (Operational Support Systems).
