Tele2 expands network coverage and improve the quality of communication

Tele2 announced the implementation of a new phase of network development in Russia and works to improve the quality of communications carried out in the third quarter of 2011. Tele2 company continues to gradually expand coverage and improve the quality of communication in all regions of Russia. During the three summer months of 2011 «Tele2 Russia" has built more than 300 new base stations and additionally provided a bond of about 1000 villages. In the Leningrad region in the coverage area of mobile operator included another 60 settlements. The network currently provides connectivity to Tele2 territory where 96.5% of the population. New facilities have improved the network infrastructure quality and increase the coverage area in the Krasnodar region. Tele2 is now available to service more than 84% of the population of the Kuban. Over the summer four localities of the Republic of Karelia entered the zone coverage Tele2. In the Novosibirsk region Tele2 network was launched in 11 districts. Thus, 84% of the inhabitants of the Novosibirsk region reside in the territory where the company Tele2 offers mobile services. Thanks to an active effort to improve the quality of communication during the summer period has been greatly improved radio coverage in all 23 districts of the Tambov region. Tele2 is constantly working to expand coverage and increase network capacity. In 2011, the company plans to maintain the level of investment in network infrastructure, which will be about 9 billion rubles.
