MTS acquired the alternative operator of fixed communications services in Tatarstan

The telecommunications operator MTS announced the acquisition of a group of investors to 100% of authorized capital of JSC "TV Company" TBT ", which provides cable television, broadband Internet and fixed telephone services in 15 cities of Tatarstan. The acquisition of the largest regional provider of fixed telecommunications services, as claimed by the operator, enabling it to strengthen its leading position in the region, providing a full range of telecommunications services in Tatarstan.

The deal amounted to $ 162.87 million, excluding net debt $ 17.13 million.

JSC "TRK" TVT "- the largest TV provider of Tatarstan, who is on cable television and 71% of the market in Kazan, and 55% of the market in Naberezhnye Chelny. Total subscriber base of cable TV TVT in the country is about 500 thousand subscribers. Coverage of broadband networks in Tatarstan TVT is about 600 000 households passed. The company holds 13% market share in broadband subscriber base in Kazan, 19.5% - in Naberezhnye Chelny, and 18.5% - in Nizhnekamsk. The company also provides services in Kazan, fixed telephony, and network with installed capacity of 110 000 rooms serving 13% of total fixed-line subscribers in the city.

The financial performance of companies will be consolidated in the financial statements of MTS since October 24, 2011.
