Nokia World is an annual conference and exhibition devoted to all things Nokia, that took place this year on the 26th and 27th October in London. The two days were packed with captivating talks, inspiring discussions, exciting surprises, fruitful networking. The event offered visitors to experience all new mobile products, services and innovations from Nokia and partners.
Ralph Simon is one of the founders of the modern mobile entertainment industry and popularly known as 'the father of the ring tone'. He is a prominent mobile visionary, and innovator, helping grow the global mobile social networking, content data and "social broadcasting" industries world-wide.
A senior business builder and strategist, Adrian Pope is experienced in all aspects of business development, marketing and communication, with over 15 years working across global digital media related sectors. A company director and board member at [PIAS], he specialises in driving revenue opportunities associated with entertainment content across multiple platforms.
Noel Lee, a 1971 graduate of Cal Poly College of Engineering and former design engineer at Lawrence-Livermore Laboratory, founded Monster in 1978 for the simple reason he wanted make music sound better. Beginning with his first breakthrough high-performance Monster Cables, Noel went on to create a company and an entire new accessories industry. Today Monster's products include not just loudspeaker and home theater cables, but breakthrough headphones that bring new style and unprecedented audio performance to the personal music listening experience. Monster holds over 200 U.S. and international patents and offers more than 4,000 products in over 100 countries worldwide.
Eric Daugan has been with Warner Music for twelve years, originally working for Warner Music France and then in the International marketing team, where he began to focus on emerging digital channels as VP, Digital Marketing. Since then Eric's remit has expanded and he currently holds the title SVP, Commercial Strategy, Europe Middle East Africa. Eric oversees strategy across the full spectrum of commercial opportunities to ensure WMG is maximizing the potential for its content on all the channels the company works with in EMEA, now and in the future. Eric previously held roles at FNAC and 20th Century Fox.
Marc Marot was appointed MD of Chris Blackwell's Blue Mountain Music in 1984, working with 2 and the Reggae catalogue, amongst others. Whilst there, he had his first international No. 1 single with 'Pump Up the Volume'. His publishing signings included, amongst many others, Massive Attack, De La Soul and Shakespeare's Sister (Marcy Levy). He subsequently headed every division of Island until he was appointed as the MD of Island Records in 1990, the youngest MD in the UK music industry at that time. Amongst the Artists signed and/or developed by Marotʼs team while at Island Records were Pulp, PJ Harvey, The Stereo MCs, P.M.Dawn, The Cranberries, Chakka Demus and Pliers, NWA, The Orb, Ice Cube, Talvin Singh, Tricky and Nine Inch Nails.
