Market size in value terms on the results of 2011 could reach about 40 - 41 million units.

In monetary terms, in the 3rd quarter 2011 the market grew by 10% over the same period last year and by 28% compared to Q2 of this year. Volume was 47 billion rubles.

In Q3 2011 the share of MTS retail network in the mobile phone unit shipments expression was 15.6% (including sales partners working under the MTS brand), which is 1.6 pp more than during the same period last year.

Sales of mobile phones in the MTS retail network grows in the middle and high price segment. The maximum growth for the year (Q3 2011 to Q3 2010) demonstrated phones in price range from 1500 to 4999 rubles (growth by 9.7 pp). This segment also accounts for a large part of sales - 46.5% in Q3 2011. Sales in the price range up to 1500 rubles per year decreased in MTS retail network and the market in general (10.2 pp to 30.3% - in retail MTS).

The share of smartphones in general sales of mobile phones in the MTS retail network for the year doubled to 21% in Q3 2011. MTS 916 smartphone is in the top 5 selling models in the MTS retail network (in the top 5 brands include Nokia, Samsung, HTC, MTS and Apple).
