Insider reveals Tango & Apollo dates
Windows Phone Tango will be announced and released on 13th January 2012 at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. He said devices running on it will also be shown, including the Nokia Lumia 719 & Lumia 900. The Tango update to some existing devices will follow in the months to follow. Some new features will include LTE support, it will also bring support for smaller screens, and smaller chassis sizes. It’s all good and well.
Windows Phone Apollo, also known as Windows Phone 8, will be launched mid June 2012. Devices powered by it will appear soon thereafter. Nokia’s devices will come at Nokia Connection 2012 and there are mulitple ‘high end’ devices expected, including a new camera flagship. Windows 8 will also be announced by that time and Nokia’s first tablet will launch at NokCon. Features expected in Apollo is support for NFC, dual core processors, larger displays and larger bodies. Looks good too.
WP7 Tango, WP8 & W8 is coming, Nokia is coming with all of them, so Nokia’s year of Microsoft is upon us, let’s hope they don’t disappoint…
