Canon PowerShot G1 X - a new compact digital camera with large sensor


Canon has introduced its new model of compact digital camera PowerShot G1 X, equipped with high 14.1 megapixels CMOS (CMOS) sensor, which, according to the manufacturer, offers the image quality and ease of management-level digital SLR camera in a portable metal case.

PowerShot G1 X is equipped with high-performance image processor DIGIC 5, a new precision Canon lens and wide possibilities of manual control.

As the company introduced the new product is its first compact model with a large 14.3-megapixel CMOS (CMOS) sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio (18.7 mm x 14 mm), which is similar to the height sensor APS-C, used in SLRs EOS. Due to the same pixel size and structure, as in the EOS 600D, as well as the surface area of ​​approximately 6.3 times larger than the sensor of the famous model PowerShot G12, the manufacturer managed to achieve quality, as he states, comparable to the quality of SLR in a small package housing, which enables you to take a camera with you wherever you go.

Lens PowerShot G1 X with 4x optical zoom lens has a built 3-stage filter (ND), allows you to use a wider aperture in bright light to achieve a shallower depth of field, or use slower speeds.
