Serial production of chipsets Exynos 5250 will begin in the second quarter
Samsung has announced that soon will begin mass production of systems-on-chip Exynos 5250, which was announced last year. The first samples are already available manufacturers for testing. Mass production is planned to launch in the second quarter of 2012. The chipset includes a dual-core Cortex-A15 running at 2 GHz. As expected, the performance of this chipset must be two times higher than its predecessors with the nuclei Cortext-A9. Model 5250 is a dual-core Exynos rival platforms, Quad, which should also appear in the current year. No details about the platform used in the GPU is not available. During the announcement it was reported that the graphics accelerator will be four times faster than today's. Presumably it is the successor to Mali-400 and, respectively, must be greater than just the platform. The first is a productive system-on-chip targeted at tablets, although it is possible that it will find application in high-end smartphones. It is not excluded that the rumors that Samsung Galaxy S III is delayed due to timing is the start of production of the chipset.
