Google offers to evaluate the quality of roads in Russia

Google is now a portal with c Auto.ru submitted a draft Roads of Russia. Now, users of mobile devices based on Android will, as noted by the creators of the service, to contribute to the solution of traditional Russian problems - quality of roads, and every Internet user will be able to check the condition of pavement on the route of interest to him.

The project consists of two parts: a free application Roads of Russia for mobile devices based on Android and the web site. Already, users can check the quality of roads seven cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Rostov-on-Don. Every day on the cards will appear more and more roads, which motorists traveled.

Mobile application automatically collects data about the quality of roads and displays them on the map in four colors: green marked the road with a good quality cover, yellow - with the middle and red - with the bad, and dark red - unsatisfactory. This card can be found on the website rusdorogi.ru, there is available service statistics: the estimated total mileage of roads, the chart is the quality of road surface, the dynamics and the rating of new data on cities.

How exactly does a mobile application? When you are driving in your car, your phone analyzes the vibration of the suspension the car (it is better that the phone was attached to the dashboard, but the application will work even if it is in the pocket). The application sends data to the site server for further processing. Here's how it looks:
