MegaFon teach "mobile literacy" more than 100 000 students across the country
The operator MegaFon said that this spring lessons "mobile literacy" was first held in Moscow schools, and with the new school year, classes will be held in all regions of the country. The company is implementing the project "Mobile Literacy", in which children learn how to protect themselves from mobile fraud, how to protect your phone against theft, as well as receive basic knowledge about mobile etiquette and principles of cellular communications. In 2011, more than 75,000 students from 6000 schools in 37 Russian regions attended the lessons of "mobile literacy". Social Programs Director of OJSC "MegaFon" Elena Alexandrova said that now each student has a cell phone, and the likelihood that a child encounters the dangers of the Internet, or become a victim of mobile scams, great. According to statistics, two thirds of Internet users in Russia at the age of 14 are not controlled by adults, and approximately 40% of them visit the web-page objectionable content.
