What's LG Cloud service?

LG Cloud is the online storage service that users can enjoy video clips, music files or photo files wherever they are.
It stores a user's data in real time (Folder Sync) and makes it possible that a user enjoys video, music and photo files stored in LG Cloud in any environment by using various multimedia devices such as Smart TV, mobile phone and PC.
In which case can LG Cloud service be used valuably?

LG Cloud can be useful when a user desires to store his/her data safely and use anywhere and anytime.
- Upload a photo taken by a mobile phone and enjoy the photo on a TV set at home.
- Upload a video clip from a PC to Cloud and replay the video on a mobile phone during your commute.
- Upload photos of children of school arts festival and share them with parents in a distant place.
- Store important materials using Cloud even without external HDD or USB memory.
How much storage space can I use from LG Cloud service?

LG Cloud provides 5GB free storage space per member. In addition, a member who has purchased LG Smart TV or LG Smart Phone may receive 50GB free storage for 6 months. In the future, a larger space will be provided as a pay service.
5GB free storage space seems to be insufficient. Can I have more storage space?

For instance, if you have signed up the service in Korea, you may use the service while you're enjoying the summer vacation in Thailand. However, it may not be as same as the quality and speed of network in Korea depending on the local network status and distance.
With which devices can I use LG Cloud service?

LG Cloud service can be used by means of TV, mobile phone and PC.
- LG Smart TV : at least, NetCast 2.0 and higher(3.0 recommended)
- Android mobile phone : at least, Android 2.2 and higher(2.3 and higher recommended)
- PC : Windows XP, Windows 7(32bits only)
How can I access to LG Cloud service?

Using LG Cloud service requires downloading Cloud Apps supplied to each type of device such as TV, mobile phone and PC.
- LG Smart TV : Download Cloud Apps from LG Smart World or LG Apps TV
- Android mobile phone : Download LG Cloud App for Android from LG Smart World or Android market
- PC : Download Cloud Apps from the website(www.lgecloud.com) or PC client program
How can I upload a video file to LG Cloud's Video folder?

You may upload a video file to LG Cloud's Video folder by using mobile App., website or PC client.
LG Cloud automatically recognizes file extensions and it classifies and stores video files only into Video folder.
LG Cloud supports a variety of file extensions such as AVI, MP4, MOV and ASF.
If you have a subtitle file connected to the video file, you may upload it as well.
However, a subtitle file with SMI extension is only allowed.

You can upload data up to 2GB at a time.
Does LG Cloud service limit the number of files or file size to download?

LG Cloud does not limit a file's size when downloading a file. Instead, the max. number of files to download is limited to 2.
For instance, if you select 3 files to download, it starts downloading 2 files first and then, the last file also starts downloading as soon as one of first two files is downloaded.
What types of files can I use in LG Cloud service?

You may use a variety of file types(extensions) as follows in LG Cloud service.
- Video : 29 extensions including ASF, AVI, MPEG, MP4, WMV, MOV and MKV
- Music : 35 extensions including FLAC, MID, MP4, OGG, WMA, RM and WAV
- Photo : 33 extensions including GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP and PSD
- Document : 60 extensions including DOC, PPT, XLS, TXT, HTML and PSD
However, it assumes that your TV set or mobile phone supports the above file extensions.
What's RTS(real time transcoding)?

RTS(Real-time Transcoding) service refers to the technology that converts and transfers the type(extension) and quality of a file to the optimal type and quality to each replaying device so that a user may enjoy the multimedia files stored in LG Cloud using any kind of devices including TV, mobile phone or PC. In addition, a converted streaming file may be stored as it is.
In Music folder, I can find the thumbnail image and song title. However, some of songs have no images and are indicated with musical note symbol and title. What happened?

Image indicated in Music folder refers to the image of album art contained in a music file. A file containing album art image extracts and shows the image while a file without the album art image shows the musical note symbol only.
Album art image is the image of album cover containing the music file and it is saved with title, length and sound quality information when the song is converted to MP3 file.
