Russian office of the European telecommunications company Tele2 AB announced its consolidated financial and operating results of the first quarter of 2012. According to her, during the reporting period saw an increase in key financial indicators, so that operating revenues increased by 16.2% over the same period last year and amounted to 13.6 billion rubles. Company's subscriber base increased by 10.3% compared to first quarter 2011: the cumulative number of subscribers in Russia totaled 20.94 million people. In the first quarter of 2012 Tele2's subscriber base increased by 304,000 users.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) rose by 4.6% in ruble terms compared to the same period last year and amounted to 218 rubles
The average number of minutes used per month (MoU) in the whole of Russia was 246, compared to the first quarter of 2011 this figure had grown by 7.6%.
