New LG Eclipse Image Reveals Removable Battery and NFC

We originally leaked the first specifications of the LG LS970, then got our hands on a photo of the device with an extensive amount of details. Hitting our inboxes today is another image of the device that you can see above. This time the back of the device is removed disproving our speculation it would be a non-removable backing.

In our original picture there was a hole located on the back door, and you can see that this image still shows it present here. As soon as we first saw the photo we noticed two major details that we are now able to confirm for the LS970: Near Field Communication and a removable battery. On top of that, we can see the speaker placement in the bottom right-hand corner along with the vibration motor, the 13-megapixel camera accompanied by a flash module, and what looks like the future placement of the embedded microSIM card for Sprint.

In case you don’t recall, the LG Eclipse 4G LTE is rumored to have a 2100 mAh battery, 1.5GHz Krait S4 processor, 4.67-inch HD display, 16GB of ROM, and 2GB of RAM. Many have referred to the phone as the next “superphone,” and the more we learn about it, the more we are likened to say the same. We are still working on getting a picture of the front of the device and finding out if it will launch on other carriers as well.
