HTC One X Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update rolling out in international markets

The HTC One X is one of this year’s flagship Android handset, but unless you’re running a custom ROM right now, chances are that you’re not on Google’s Jelly Bean, the Android 4.1.1 kind.

But now a tipster tells us that HTC is finally rolling out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the handset – we have no idea when Android 4.2 will be available for the device – with various other Android sites confirming the news.

In case you’re based in either Europe, Asia or South Africa and have an international One X model (either CID_038 or CID_044) then you should check whether your Jelly Bean update awaits for you. These are unlocked One X versions, mind you, so if you rock a carrier-branded model then you’re probably going to have to wait some more to get your hands on Google’s buttery Jelly Bean update.

As for the nature of the update, HTC Source reports:

Similar to the Android 4.1 update for the HTC One X in India, users will first see a smaller 1.6MB download which is followed by the main 364.54MB Jelly Bean update.

In other words, make sure you have a decent Internet connection and enough battery juice to get your Jelly Bean on!
