MTS strengthens leadership in the cable television market and fixed Internet Kursk

Telecommunications operator MTS announced the acquisition of a group of private investors 100% of OOO "Pilot" and LLC "TVKiK" provides cable TV and fixed broadband internet access in the city of Kurchatov and Shchigry Kursk region. The deal, taking into account available both acquired companies aggregate net debt amounted to 90.7 million rubles.

LLC "Pilot" provides wire transfer in Kurchatov 2000, LLC "TVKiK" provides cable television services in Kurchatov in 1992, in Shchigry - since 2001. Provider networks are built on technology FTTB (Fiber-To-The-Building, «FTTH") and covers more than 97% of the housing Kurchatov and over 80% of households Shchigry.

Share of LLC "TVKiK" on the cable television market Kurchatov exceeds 95%, the cable TV market Shchigry - 80%. LLC "Pilot" is a leader in fixed broadband access Kurchatov with share over 65%.

Financial results of LLC "Pilot" and LLC "TVKiK" will be consolidated in the accounts of OJSC "MTS" on 30 October 2012.
