Motorola will leave Korea and cut more than 500 people
The company Motorola, which passed under the power of the corporation Google, continues to restructure, which currently looks like a progressive reduction of the presence on the market, as well as a decrease in staff costs by dismissing the latter. Korean edition of Digital Daily reported that Motorola in early 2013, will leave the market in South Korea. Moreover, care will be complete, with design centers closing devices. The first steps on this path starts from today (10 December 2012). The reason is called the desire to reduce costs and concentrate on the important markets for the company, what is likely to remain very soon the U.S.. Some of the employees, about 10% of the total, Motorola is planning to transfer to their research centers outside of South Korea. However, more than five hundred people will be laid off by the company. It is also reported that some of the Motorola business will continue to operate in the country - it concerns solutions for home and end iDEN products.
