Alcatel OneTouch Star is a new budget Android
Alcatel, the French mobile phone manufacturer, has over 2013 plans to seriously break into the smartphone market. The plan is to launch a new OneTouch series of products powered by Android 4.1 . Like the French electronics manufacturer Archos is planning to launch Alcatel capable but inexpensive products for the lower end of the market. One of the company's upcoming products named Alcatel OneTouch Idol, a phone that was presented during the CES show. The other phone will be called OneTouch Star. The product, which will be offered in two models called the 6010 and 6010D (equipped with single and dual SIM holder), comes equipped with a four-inch QWGA-resolution OLED screen. Within the product's shell is said to be a dual core application processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage and a battery of 1500 mAh. On the back of the phone is a five megapixel camera that can capture video in 720p. With these specifications, the product does not impress. Instead want Alcatel impress with a price lying around SEK 2 000 (according to leaked information from the Swedish retailer).
The presentation of the OneTouch Star is expected in the MWC trade show later this month. Even now there is official information about the phone available online (see link below).
