Google Chromebook Pixel: hrombuk touchscreen with high resolution
Google has introduced a new portable computer based on Chrome OS (hrombuk) - Chromebook Pixel. The main feature of novelty is the 12.85-inch touchscreen display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1700 pixels, that is, the density of pixels per inch it is 239 PPI. The screen supports multitouch control and protected by a durable glass Gorilla Glass 2.
Hrombuk built on dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz, with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and a solid state drive capacity of 32 GB (also optional 64-GB SSD and support for LTE). Other features worth mentioning support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Camera 720p, 2 x USB, mini DisplayPort, and SD-card slot. Chromebook Pixel will start shipping in the U.S. and the UK next week (Wi-Fi-version) is priced at $ 1299 and 1049 pounds, respectively, and LTE-version will be available in the U.S. in April and will retail for $ 1449.
