How is ICT contributing to the evolution of your city?

In a new video, Ericsson's Head of Strategic Marketing, Patrik Regårdh tells us about the impact ICT is having on cities.

People are moving to cities at an astonishing rate. Already today more than 50 percent of the world's population live in cities. By 2050, that number is expected to be 70 percent. The findings from the Ericsson Networked Society City Index reports show that ICT has the potential to help cities solve some of their greatest challenges. The three part series identifies the development of ICT-enabled benefits to cities by looking at the city from a people, business and societal perspective.

The Networked Society City Index ranks 25 of the world’s largest cities according to their ability to transform ICT into social, economic and environmental benefits. One principle conclusion is that there is a strong connection between ICT maturity in cities and their triple bottom-line development.
