Huawei's New FTTH Solution Debuts at the European FTTH Conference in London
Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, announced that its new FTTH solution will debut at the decennial exhibition of the European FTTH Conference, which is to be held in London from February 20 to February 21, 2013. This solution is aimed at providing intelligent ultra-broadband access, improving overall network efficiency and user experience.
The European FTTH Conference is the most influential event in the fiber to the home (FTTH) field. During this conference, Huawei will participate in discussions around ultra-broadband construction opportunities, FTTH innovative business modes, and the development of innovative technologies with other industry experts attending the conference.
Huawei believes that “ultra-broadband” with “zero-wait” available “anywhere”, can enrich life through communication. Guided by this philosophy, Huawei has been continuously improving the SingleFAN FTTx solution to offer the best levels of speed, quality, simplicity, freedom, and sharing to its customers. Through technical innovations, engineering breakthroughs, and E2E intelligent equipment management, Huawei helps operators achieve on-demand deployment with a single network access. By providing intelligent and ultra-broadband services to users, Huawei expands and explores new business opportunities based on broadband networks and strikes a balance between network investments and broadband strategies.
During the conference, Huawei will exhibit the latest breakthroughs it has made in developing the SingleFAN FTTx solution. Among these breakthroughs are the fiber to the door (FTTD) Gigabit access solution, which reuses the existing copper resources; the FTTH home device interconnection solution, which uses the intelligent optical network terminal (ONT); the fiber to the mobile base station (FTTM) solution, which is oriented toward LTE and Wifi; the fiber to the office (FTTO) full-service access solution, which is oriented toward ICT; the embedded optical time domain reflectometer (eOTDR), which achieved an industry-leading split ratio of 1:64 during optical fiber tests; and the intelligent optical distribution network (iODN), which achieves real-time management and scheduling.
In addition, Huawei will host a VIP seminar to discuss FTTx construction and operation in the heterogeneous access era. At this seminar, Huawei will share their experience in FTTx network construction, O&M efficiency, user experience, and business development with the representatives of operators worldwide and industry experts. Through the seminar, Huawei aims to support operators to promote network evolution, O&M, and transformation.
Huawei's exhibition stand will be located at G12 in the International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
