Samsung introduced Samsung KNOX to implement assured BYOD-strategies
Samsung Electronics has announced a decision Samsung KNOX - security solution for mobile devices based on Android, which is designed to protect high-end, as at the hardware level and at the application level.

KNOX includes a package of safety improvements at the operating system Android, called Security Enhanced Android (SE Android) and a single application management. At the application level KNOX offers "container" solution that separates business tasks of personal space on the mobile device level encryption file system. This provides protection for both corporate and personal information, data and applications against information leaks, viruses and malicious attacks. KNOX provides reliability and unbeatable convenience of setup and use in a corporate environment for IT-departments that want to implement a strategy and actively Bring Your Own Device (BYOD).
Being easily accessible via an icon on the home screen, KNOX-container provides users a variety of enterprise applications in a secure environment, including email, browser, contacts, calendars, file sharing, collaboration, CRM, and business intelligence. KNOX uses the existing eco-system Android, providing security at the platform level for all applications, without any changes to their source code. By combining features such as FIPS-compliant VPN, device encryption, data leakage protection, a one-time login through a catalog company and multi-factor authentication based on smart cards, KNOX relieves application developers from the need to implement all of these functions individually to meet enterprise requirements.
The time when the decision will be available for KNOX devices Samsung GALAXY, will be announced later.
