"Beeline" Business launches fixed WiMAX network in Rostov-on-Don
Telecommunication operator "Beeline" announced the launch of technical networks, built on the basis of technologies of high-speed wireless access to fixed WiMAX in Rostov-on-Don.
Technology fixed WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access), is used of "VimpelCom", also known as WiMAN (Wireless Metropolitan Area Network). This decision, as stated by the operator, significantly expands its ability to connect to a variety of corporate fixed-line services using high-speed wireless "last miles".
Running a fixed WiMAX network in the combined South and North Caucasus "Beeline" begins with the Rostov-on-Don. The network is tested, prepared for incorporation and registration of the first clients. During 2013 the fixed WiMAX will begin their work in Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik and Anapa and Sochi, Stavropol, Adygea Republic, Astrakhan, Volgograd. It is planned to provide connectivity to 1,000 business customers in the combined area of the Company.
The fixed WiMAX (WiMAN) South and North Caucasus region are composed of base stations and user terminals, providing wireless access to services of fixed telephony. Each base station provides high speed data transfer at up to 10 kilometers. Speed, which allows for the technology - 25 Mbit / c to the end user.
These features allow network anywhere in the coverage area to provide customers "Beeline" Business whole range of fixed-line services, as well as with a standard wired connection. Among the possibilities - a high-speed Internet access, LANs based IP VPN, voice, video conferencing, etc.
