Huawei Unveils Enterprise BYOD Solution at CeBIT 2013

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today unveiled its Enterprise BYOD Solution at CeBIT 2013. The new BYOD solution will help enterprises globally increase efficiency, reduce costs, and tap into the endless business opportunities presented in the era of mobility and connectivity.
The rising trend of "consumerization of IT" extends the benefits of advanced IT technologies to consumers. The growing popularity of smart mobile devices, the rapid development of broadband and wireless communications technologies, and the cloudization of enterprise resources are changing the way that we live and work, allowing people to work, communicate and be entertained anywhere, anytime.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is a new office model whereby employees can use their personal smart devices to securely access the company's IT resources via efficient and secure wireless networks, resulting in improved communication efficiency, reduced operational costs, creation of more business opportunities, while providing a flexible working environment.
To address the customer needs and market opportunities brought about by the rise of BYOD, Huawei launched its innovative BYOD Solution at CeBIT — a solution designed and developed based on its comprehensive technical expertise in both the IT and CT fields, as well as years of customer-centric R&D efforts. Built on the AnyOffice mobile office platform, the solution offers a wide range of device, network, data management, and application features, including:
  • Supports a variety of smart mobile devices and uses multiple forcible authentication modes for secure user access.
  • Uses advanced and secure WLAN and LTE technologies for efficient mobile device access and seamless roaming.
  • Provides comprehensive Mobile Device Management (MDM) functions to ensure effective data access control and device security.
  • Offers a wide range of mobile apps, such as mobile Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), mobile conferencing, Pushmail, and secure browser, to meet enterprises' diverse needs for mobile office.
The new BYOD solution delivers a perfect combination of security and efficiency for mobile work styles with a truly engaging user experience, helping enterprises explore and address more business growth opportunities. Moving forward, Huawei will continue to collaborate closely with its partners to provide more comprehensive and effective mobile office solutions.
