BlackBerry 10.1 is bringing plenty of changes - Here's some of what we're seeing

BlackBerry 10.1 will be the next major update to the BlackBerry 10 platform

Now that the BlackBerry 10.1C SDK OS (10.1.0.1483) OS has landed for developers, we're getting a small look at some of the changes that will make their way to BlackBerry 10.1 as a whole. As mentioned previously, the 10.1C SDK OS (10.1.0.1483) is suggested to only be used by developers as it's not a full OS and will not really satisfy the needs of the everyday consumer. With that small disclaimer out of the way, there is already an ongoing list in the CrackBerry Forums of folks sharing what has changed. Some of the stuff was already known to be coming with BlackBerry 10.1 while some of it wasn't really mentioned before. It's far from a complete list and of course, some of it may only be for testing purposes but in any case, have a look at what has been spotted:

HDR option for taking photos
PIN to PIN messaging now available and present in the BlackBerry Hub
APN editing is now enabled (Though this may remain carrier based)
'Highlights" for text such as word correction on the keyboard are now green, instead of blue
'Text Picker' has been improved, now allows for easily moving left and right between letters easier
Sharing menu is now black, just like on the BlackBerry Q10
New help demos and walkthroughs after initial boot
Select All for broadcast messages is now available
Ability to turn off alerts for specific applications
Easier to check for updates in BlackBerry World
Phone can be fully unlocked at lock screen now by the power button
BlackBerry World now has options for coupon redemption
Pasting of phone numbers directly into dialpad
Installed apps can be opened from with BlackBerry World (No longer shows 'installed' now shows 'open')
No doubt, that's only a small portion of what has really changed but it's a start. If you've spotted something new or are just curious about what's going on, then drop by the forums or drop some comments below.
