MTS-Ukraine to worry about batteries

The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine. The first step in this direction MTS will be weekly "green" initiative to collect used batteries.

Under the terms of the document in all stores "MTS Ukraine" (43 stores and more than 100 retail outlets throughout Ukraine) will have special boxes for the collection of used batteries. The collected batteries, which are known to cause significant harm to the environment, will be disposed of at a special factory in Lviv.

The second part is devoted to the cooperation memorandum of MTS and the Ministry in the framework of the project to clean up the Dnieper River, which is the main artery of the environmental Ukraine. In addition, MTS plans through a network of subscribers to conduct an environmental advocacy and attract volunteers to participate in other activities. memorandum was signed during the work day, which left residents of the capital, including the employees of MTS. Weekly cleaning is timed to the environment, which is celebrated in Ukraine every third Saturday of April.
