"The basis of Telecom" starts testing LTE network

Federal network operator LTE - the company "Basis Telecom", announced the launch of a test operation of networks in Smolensk and Yaroslavl. Construction of mobile network "Fundamentals Telecom" is in 40 Russian cities. To begin a large-scale test operation the company plans in May and June 2013.

Much of the expertise provided by law, the passage of which is necessary to start operation of the network was carried out by the authorized bodies back in 2012. The main suppliers of equipment for the construction of the network in these regions are the AlcatelLucent and Cisco. Currently, "The basis of Telecom" is working on installation and commissioning of more than 2,000 base stations in all cities of the network construction.
