EE HAS BEEN NAMED THE ROOTSCORE AWARD WINNER IN NEWCASTLE BY ROOTMETRICS
EE has been named the RootScore Award Winner in Newcastle by RootMetrics, an independent consumer advocate.
Over 27,000 mobile performance tests were completed, comparing the performance of EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three. EE had the strongest overall performance for Newcastle and came top for Mobile Internet Performance and joint-first for Call Performance.
The report findings showed average download speeds, combining both 3G and 4G, of 14.4Mbps and average upload speeds of 9.4Mbps for EE customers in the Newcastle region. These results were almost 8Mbps faster for downloads than any other mobile operator.
EE first rolled out 4G services in Newcastle in December 2012, enabling local residents and businesses to access the web on the go in an instant; download large email attachments quicker than ever; hold video calls; watch live TV on the move without buffering; and play live multiplayer games on the go.
