Sony is preparing a self-contained lens for mobile phones

As the portal sonyalpharumors, the Japanese company Sony is going to soon introduce a new type of product - independent interchangeable lenses for mobile phones - DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100, which have, among other things, the image sensor, image processor Bionz, wireless modules Wi -Fi, NFC, and a slot for SD memory cards.
These lenses are mounted on a mobile device using a special magnetic fastening and work with both Android, and with iOS.
The first model («Lens-camera») is equipped with the same 1-inch sensor used in digital cameras Sony DSC-RX100M II, allowing mobile terminals to obtain image quality comparable to high-quality models of digital cameras and does not depend on the quality available in the mobile terminal and optics sensor.
The second model is already a zoom lens with 10x optical zoom, 18 megapixel CMOS matrix of size 1/2, 3'', whose parameters are very similar to the model of Sony WX150.
