HTC One update to Android 4.3 still coming in September

HTC president says HTC One owners can expect Android 4.3 update by the end of the month

HTC's One update to Android 4.3 is still on track for September. Now, if you're sitting over there, scratching your head like, "Ummm, this is news?" Let me just say, I'm with you -- but it is news because people are still talking about it.

Don't believe me? Just take a look at HTC President Jason Mackenzie's Twitter feed. The guy has received so many questions about when Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is coming to the HTC One that it's amazing he's still being nice enough to respond.

Back in August, Mackenzie noted via Twitter that the HTC One update to Anroid 4.3 would be here by the end of September. It was suggested, even before this, that the company would completely bypass the Android 4.2.2 update in favor of the latest and greatest OS.

In a more recent tweet, Mackenzie responded to another inquiry about whether or not Android 4.3 is still set to arrive in September. He noted that nothing has changed, further proving the fact that no news is often good news: "...Good news is that with Sense you are always ahead of the times. no change to announce on 4.3 schedule. Thanks."

While no exact date for the Android 4.3 update has been given, you won't have too much longer to wait. Even if HTC decides to hold out until the final hour, we're already nearly through the first week. And if it makes you feel any better, Samsung's Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 owners will have to wait until at least October for their Android 4.3 updates.
