New models from Fujitsu LIFEBOOK Ultrabook with improved security features and touch-screen interface

Fujitsu is at the IFA in Berlin has announced two additions to its line of products LIFEBOOK Series U, including a touchscreen display new flagship device Ultrabook based on advanced Intel Core processors 4th generation. Fujitsu now offers more than ever a wide selection of elegant, lightweight laptops that provide small-to medium-sized businesses the tools for secure mobile working.

Both new models LIFEBOOK U series as standard ensure a long battery life for all tasks throughout the day, providing the ability to connect to the network, as well as the boot environment support Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) for remote control. The security features enterprise-class technology such as Fujitsu Advanced Theft Protection (ATP), provides remote opening device in case of loss or theft and the complete removal of all data. Module Trusted Platform Module (TPM), available as an option, encrypts and protects data from being stolen.

LIFEBOOK U574 - this is the first Ultrabook Fujitsu device with a 13.3-inch anti-glare touch screen, which weighs only 1.6 kg and has a thickness of 19 mm. As standard features, the laptop has a 3G/UMTS module and support environment for PXE remote boot and module TPM (optional) with Advanced Theft Protection technology to ensure complete safety.

LIFEBOOK U554 weighs only 1.5 pounds with a thickness of 18 mm, has a 13.3-inch display with anti-reflective coating, an optional module 3G/UMTS, supports PXE boot environment and the module TPM (optional) with the technology of Advanced Theft Protection.

LIFEBOOK U554 is available today, LIFEBOOK U574 will be available in late October of trading partners Fujitsu or the online store Fujitsu.
