Huawei outed as AC Milan’s new Premium Sponsor

Huawei today joined the likes of Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana, Audi and many other reputable brands after they announced that they have become world renowned Italian football team, AC Milan’s official Premium Sponsor in addition to becoming the team’s new chief communications supplier.

Huawei will be entitled to use the AC Milan branding for marketing purposes both in Italy and abroad, giving the world’s third largest smartphone maker yet another great opportunity for growth. “After the great response to our sponsorship of the Italian Super Cup in 2011 held in Beijing, we are enthusiastic to continue our partnership with AC Milan, a recognised leader in the footballing world that fits perfectly with our goal of leadership within the consumer market. The popularity of the team in China opens up great possibilities in the future.” said Huawei Italy’s Managing Director, George Zhao.

Huawei has once again shown that it is here to stay, despite a lot of criticism from the United States government, accusing the company of being an outlet for the Chinese government to spy on foreign nations.
