Huawei and Optus launched the world's first LTE TDD network with aggregation of carriers

Huawei has announced that it has become a partner of the Australian operator Optus on the world's first commissioning technology aggregation carriers (Carrier Aggregation - CA) in a commercial LTE TDD network at speeds of over 160 Mbit / s. The technology has been deployed at several sites 4G network operator Optus in Melbourne and is an early stage of development of the SA and other advanced technologies, providing speeds of over 500 Mbit / s network LTE TDD.

CA technology will combine two carrier frequencies 20MHz frequency range 2300 MHz network Optimus. Preliminary tests have shown the speed of more than 160 Mbit / s on a single device.

Also notes that the Huawei and Optus was conducted joint testing technology CA at St. Marys (east of Sydney). As part of this testing were consolidated four carrier frequencies in a single 20MHz frequency resource in the frequency range 80MGts 2300MGts that eventually allowed to get wireless data transfer rates of more than 520 Mbit / s.

In 2014, Huawei plans to launch a wireless broadband compatible with CA (known as Cat-6 TD-LTE).
