Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Breaks Cover Again, Doesn’t Look Bad At All

Even though Huawei just recently announced the “affordable true octa core” Glory / Honor 3Xand its super-mega-cheap Glory / Honor 3C, the Chineese manufacturer definitely has some more devices up its sleeves. One of them is the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 phablet, which we got to see earlier this month in some really bad, low-res pictures, courtesy of TENNA (the Chineese FCC equivalent).
If you’re interested in huuuge smartphones, Huawei products, or in what 2014 has in store for us, smartphone and tech enthusisats, you’ll be glad to find out that some new Huawei Ascend Mate 2 pics have surfaced – this time of good enough quality to help us make an ideea on how the mate 2 will look like.

As you can see, the Ascend Mate 2 doesn’t look bad at all, with its brushed metal frame (let’s hope it’s not an “a la Samsung” plastic frame) and slightly curved backside.

As far as Huawei Ascend Mate 2′s hardware specs are concerned, rumor has it that the phablet will sport a 6.1 inch display (just like its predecessor), an 1080p or 720p display (the latter being mentioned in the TENNA filings we talked about earlier), a 1.6 GHz quad-core CPU (HiSilicon Kirin 910 SoC) coupled with a Mali 450 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
There’s no way of telling if the Ascend Mate 2 will make its way onto the western markets, but we’ll keep an eye out for any other related news and rumors.
