Current Software Update Benefits
Software Version: MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPF2
This software update helps prevent an unintentional device Factory Data Reset (FDR) after multiple failed attempts to use a fingerprint to unlock the device.

There are new safeguards to prevent a Factory Data Reset (FDR) following accidental or inadvertent Home button presses, like when your phone is in your pocket or purse.

Your device will only initiate a FDR after 15 failed unlock attempts.
You'll get 10 tries to unlock your device using your fingerprint.
If that doesn't work, you'll get 5 additional attempts to use your back-up PIN or password.
Business users could have different policies with fewer allowed attempts, check with your company IT department.
