Samsung SDS, SAP partner for enterprise cloud spread in Asia
Samsung SDS has signed an MOU with SAP to together provide enterprise cloud systems made with the latter's solution to clients in Asia Pacific.
Samsung SDS, the IT service affiliate arm of Samsung Electronics, has signed an MOU with SAP to provide enterprise cloud systems to customers in Asia-Pacific, the companies have announced.
Samsung will provide cloud systems based on SAP solutions that can be applied to finance, sales, and purchase areas of customers at low cost, it said.
"We are proud to announce our partnership with Samsung SDS in enterprise cloud, one of SAP's core services," said Bernd Leukert, member of the executive board for SAP's Products & Innovation, in a statement. "Through diverse solutions designed for various lines of business, we will further support our customers and partners in establishing a solid foundation for cloud environment."
Samsung SDS Chung Yoo-sung said: "This will be the opportunity to expand the enterprise cloud business market of the cooperation with SAP in the Korea and Asia Pacific."
Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, and other Samsung affiliates used SAP solutions to build their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Samsung SDS last month announced a similar partnership with IBM to provide cloud-based security services.
