Updated Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 may soon be available from T-Mobile

Samsung quietly updated the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 about three months ago. The updated tablets have the same name and design but do come with new software and improved performance. T-Mobile is already selling the original Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and it appears that the carrier is gearing up to launch the updated model as well.

A Samsung device bearing model number SM-T818T has recently received Bluetooth certification, the second “T” denotes that this device is headed to T-Mobile in the United States. The unlocked version of this tablet bears model number SM-T819. The updated Galaxy Tab S2 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and features a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card support, fingerprint sensor as well as an 8 megapixel rear and 2.1 megapixel front camera. The tablet’s 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It’s unclear when T-Mobile is going to officially announce the launch of this tablet on its network.
