The Un-carrier Dials Up the Thankings! Buffalo Wild Wings, PetSmart, Shell & Subway Join T-Mobile Tuesdays!

T-Mobile Tuesdays thanks more than 4 million customers with more than 14 million gifts, as the T-Mobile Tuesdays app continues to top the app store charts on both the Apple App Store and Google Play store

Bellevue, Washington — T-Mobile [NASDAQ: TMUS] today announced it’s taking the thanking to a whole new level. Major new partners, including Buffalo Wild Wings, PetSmart, Subway restaurants and Shell are joining T-Mobile Tuesdays. The Un-carrier also revealed that in just the three months since launch, T-Mobile customers have redeemed more than 14 million free ‘Thank You’ gifts from top brands like Wendy’s, StubHub, Fandango, VUDU and Lyft.

“T-Mobile Tuesdays has turned the idea of the loyalty program upside down. This isn’t about customers showing loyalty to us – it’s about us showing our loyalty to them with free stuff - every single week.  Free movies, free food, free rides, and great discounts on gas are just some of the ways we’ve said Thank You!” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “Over 14 million gifts given to over 4 million Un-carrier customers—and we’re just getting warmed up."

T-Mobile announced a number of new top tier brands are joining T-Mobile Tuesdays. Starting next Tuesday, September 6, T-Mobile customers will get thanked with a free 6-inch oven-roasted chicken sub from Subway restaurants along with a free Lyft ride and a VUDU movie rental. In addition, one lucky person will win free Subway sandwiches for a year!  On Tuesday, September 13, PetSmart will join T-Mobile Tuesdays to raise awareness of its upcoming National Adoption Weekend event in all stores. And Subway restaurants and Buffalo Wild Wings will join Wendy’s, VUDU and Lyft as part of the regular T-Mobile Tuesday partner rotations so T-Mobile customers will get great gifts from great brands, again and again!

Intense Demand
Since that first T-Mobile Tuesday on June 7, the program has been a massive hit. Immediately after launching, the T-Mobile Tuesdays app shot to No.1 on Apple’s App Store – ahead of perennial favorites like Snapchat, Google Maps and even Instagram – and surged to No. 3 on Google Play.  And, the app has consistently hit the Top 10 in the lifestyle category of both app stores since it launched, beating out even Tinder.

In addition to the fantastic weekly Tuesday gifts, over 2,000 lucky winners have hit the jackpot with some epic prizes each week including:
Two airline tickets to anywhere in the USA with Orbitz!
MLB season tickets to the team of their choice!
A $10,000 Gilt shopping spree with a personal stylist!
A new car and free Shell gas for a year!
For their part, T-Mobile Tuesday partners have seen unprecedented new demand for their gifts, goods and services. Their apps generally skyrocket in the app stores. For example, T-Mobile customers drove HotelTonight to the No.1 trending spot on Google Play and helped BookShout jump to No.1 in its category in Apple’s App Store. And customers pushed Conde Nast’s Bon Appetit magazine subscriptions up a whopping 14% when they were part of T-Mobile Tuesdays. On average, partners see an increase of at least 100,000 new customer registrations every week they participate.

“T-Mobile customers have been incredibly supportive of BookShout and it’s been great helping the Un-carrier thank their customers with some great reads this summer,” said Jason Ilian, CEO of BookShout. “We saw a record number of downloads for Claudia’s Cocina: A Taste of Mexico and the Vacation Reads gifts. Our technology let us know that T-Mobile customers were reading over 97 million words a day! That’s a lot of thanking!”

“HotelTonight experienced record traffic on T-Mobile Tuesday that increased its App Store ranking to #2 in Travel and #1 trending on Google Play,” said Sam Shank, CEO of HotelTonight. “We were thrilled that we were able to deliver even deeper discounts through such a creative customer-centric promotion like T-Mobile Tuesdays.”

“The Clymb was thrilled to participate in T-Mobile Tuesdays, and the excitement that it drove,” said Luis Vargas, chief brand officer and president of travel, The Clymb. “The day that our event went live was one of the top traffic days in the history of The Clymb!”
