Xperia S receives Android 7.0 Nougat port
Oldie, but goldie. The classic Xperia S, over four years old now, has just received a port to Android 7.0 Nougat. Who needs the latest and greatest? XDA developer mickybart has done the hard work, porting his nAOSP (near-AOSP) Android 7.0 ROM to the Xperia S (LT26).
As you can imagine, this ROM is in very early development and therefore there is a list of things not working right now including Bluetooth, Flashlight, FM Radio and the dialler. However, it’s impressive to see what is already working including GSM, Wi-Fi, camera, GPS and NFC and, of course, native Nougat features such as split-screen.
