Update: Samsung Note7 recall – T-Mobile Note7 exchange

Updated on October 3, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. PST

Beginning this Wednesday, October 5, T-Mobile will resume sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 online and at participating stores nationwide.

Customers with a recalled Samsung Galaxy Note7 can bring it to a T-Mobile store and exchange it for a new CPSC-approved Galaxy Note7 replacement or, if there are no replacement Note7s available, get a temporary device. We’ll waive any restocking charges, and customers can keep the free Netflix subscription and Gear Fit or SD card they received with purchase during pre-order. Alternatively, customers can also exchange their recalled Note7 and any Note7 accessories they purchased from T-Mobile for a full refund and choose from any device in T-Mobile’s inventory.

Customers should visit a T-Mobile retail store to begin the exchange process. For additional questions, customers can call our customer care line at 1-844-275-9309.

Again, we encourage customers to stop using and power down their recalled devices and return their Note7 to T-Mobile.

To help offset any additional costs our customers may have incurred throughout this process, anyone who returns their Note7 for a replacement will automatically receive a one-time $25 credit on their T-Mobile bill within two bill cycles.

Customers can learn more about the exchange process at t-mo.co/Note7_Recall.
