Huawei Passes Interoperability Test on Fixed-Mobile Convergence Metro Solution
Huawei Technologies ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced today that its Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) oriented Metro Solution has successfully passed the multi-vendor interoperability test (IOT) administered by the European Advanced Networking Test Center ("EANTC").
EANTC, a highly regarded global independent test center, evaluated Huawei' s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Carrier Ethernet in the areas of service, connection and transport. Huawei' s NE40E Universal Service Router and CX600 Metro Service Platform met all of the IOT requirements, including those for time division multiplexing (TDM) traffic over IP, MPLS and Ethernet encapsulations.
"We are delighted with the positive results from the latest interoperability tests on Huawei' s FMC-Oriented Metro Solution. This stamp of approval by EANTC is further recognition of the quality and performance of Huawei' s suite of products," said Mr. Zha Jun, President of Router & Security Product Line, Huawei. "More importantly, the interoperability of Huawei' s solutions offers our customers greater peace of mind when migrating to different protocols or working on multi-vendor networks. They can rest assured that their network investments are protected with Huawei."
Huawei' s FMC-Oriented Metro Solution has a complete clock synchronization solution enabling operators to easily adapt to the various FMC network scenarios and to migrate from TDM to Asynchronous Transfer Mode, and to IP, according to their needs.
Huawei' s FMC-Oriented Metro Solution will be demonstrated live during the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress in Paris, 10-13 February, 2009.
