Nokia reduces the production and sends employees to leave

The company Nokia announced today that in connection with the rate of increase in the cost-effectiveness and adapt its activities to the current market situation, it plans to close its research center in Jyväskylä (Jyväskylä), which employs about 320 people, and concentrate their efforts in this direction in the Finnish city of Tampere, Oulu, Salo, and the capital - Helsinki. In addition, the company intends to reduce production in Salo, and send it to leave about 20-30% (from 2500 persons) of its employees to bring production to current market requirements without interrupting operations. The company will begin discussions with the union on those plans.
