Motorola Names Salesforce.com 100th Enterprise Mobility Validated Partner
Validation Assures Customers of Highest Quality End-to-End Solution
HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — March 3, 2009 — Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, successfully completed Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Validation program for Salesforce CRM Mobile, making it the 100th validated Motorola partner application. For the first time, Motorola’s mobile computing customers will have a validated application from salesforce.com available to them, bringing significant enhancements to their mobile workforces.
“Reaching our 100th validation with salesforce.com is a strong testament to Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Global Solution Centers, and the value provided to Motorola partners and customers,” said Janet Schijns, vice president of worldwide channels, distribution, and alliances for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility business. “The Enterprise Mobility Validation Program offers customers the confidence that an integrated solution such as Motorola mobile computers coupled with Salesforce CRM Mobile can meet their mobility needs. The validation ensures that the growing mobile workforce will have access to information that enables them to make better decisions that yield better business results.”
The validation of Salesforce CRM Mobile is the latest installment in a long-standing partnership between Motorola and salesforce.com to deliver business-critical applications and customer data across the enterprise. To be awarded the coveted Motorola designation, Salesforce CRM Mobile underwent a series of rigorous tests to ensure it worked seamlessly with Motorola’s MC35 and MC75 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA), giving Motorola partners and customers the confidence of knowing the products they deploy are fully interoperable with their enterprise mobility solution.
Through the validation process, Motorola partners are provided the tools necessary to better develop and deploy applications, enabling reduced time to market and increased customer satisfaction. Targeting the manufacturing, healthcare, supply chain, retail, energy and utilities industries, the Motorola-salesforce.com partnership will be an important element of Motorola PartnerSelect partners’ go-to-market strategy while also delivering a highly configurable software platform that enables the user experience to be customized for each registered user.
"Completing the Motorola Enterprise Mobility Validation program gives our customers confidence that Salesforce CRM Mobile will seamlessly work with their Motorola mobile computers,” said Chuck Dietrich, vice president, Salesforce Mobile, salesforce.com. “Motorola’s enterprise mobility customers will now have access to salesforce.com’s CRM applications and Force.com platform while on the road, bringing together mobile and cloud computing for today’s workforce needs."
Salesforce CRM Mobile makes it possible to mobilize Salesforce CRM, applications built on the Force.com platform, such as custom field service, asset management, route accounting and warehouse management applications, and other on-demand applications from the Force.com AppExchange marketplace to address customers' specific business requirements.
