Sprint Receives Three Domestic Wholesale Best-in-Class Awards From ATLANTIC-ACM
OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-- Sprint (NYSE:S) has received three ATLANTIC-ACM 2009 Best-in-Class Domestic Wholesale Awards for sales representatives, provisioning (tie) and customer service. Sprint’s strong performance in all three categories this year is buoyed by a repeat best-in-class performance in two of the three categories, provisioning and customer service. This is the first time Sprint has won in the sales representatives category, after finishing in second place last year.
The awards mark Sprint’s leadership in meeting the needs of domestic wholesale partners, particularly in meeting the contracted date of installation and network reliability (provisioning), strong operations support, professionalism, expertise and ability to solve problems in a timely manner (customer service), and the overall credibility, integrity and consultative relationships cultivated by Sprint and its partners (sales representatives).
The results are based on ATLANTIC-ACM’s 2009 Long Distance Carrier Report Card, which invited wholesale customers to evaluate the performance of their carriers. Representatives of ATLANTIC-ACM presented the Domestic Wholesale Best-in-Class Awards on March 3 at the COMPTEL 2009 Convention and Expo in Dallas.
In addition, Sprint performed well in several domestic wholesale categories, including second place for overall voice product quality, and third place for network and brand. This indicates that survey respondents have a strong perception of Sprint’s network performance for quality and service, and overall brand reputation.
“These awards are the result of a renewed focus on meeting the needs of our customers,” said Jim Patterson, president of wholesale, Sprint. “We’ve worked hard to demonstrate to customers our unique approach to addressing all areas of their business – voice quality, brand recognition and customer service – just to name a few. We’re honored to receive these awards and will continue to do all we can to help our partners grow their businesses.”
“Sprint’s strong performance in this year’s domestic long-haul wholesale survey is made all the more impressive by their repeat wins in provisioning and customer service,” said Fedor Smith, president, ATLANTIC-ACM. “Sprint has proven itself to be the industry leader in categories that directly impact customer experience, and dictate customer satisfaction.”
Sprint has received a variety of ATLANTIC-ACM awards in the past several years, including the ATLANTIC-ACM 2009 Global Wholesale Best-in-Class Award for Data Product Quality for the second year in a row.
The awards are based on carrier evaluations by hundreds of wholesale buyers. Stemming from research begun in 1995, which has become a critical benchmarking survey in the competitive long-distance industry, the 2009 edition of ATLANTIC-ACM's Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card awards are based on evaluations by hundreds of wholesale customers. This annual survey asks wholesale customers to rank approximately 15 wholesale service providers in categories that include brand, sales reps, provisioning, network performance, customer service, billing, and numerous product quality and price categories.
With more than 16 years of experience in the wholesale business, Sprint delivers a broad range of wireline and wireless solutions that enable the extension of the wholesale customer’s workplace and help employees work more productively and cost-effectively.
