AT&T Wins Three ATLANTIC-ACM 2009 U.S. Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards
AT&T* today announced that the AT&T Wholesale organization received three 2009 U.S. Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research consultancy and benchmarking firm. The awards, which reflect customer feedback, were presented on Tuesday afternoon at the COMPTEL PLUS Spring 2009 Convention and Expo.
The awards are based on the results of the 13th edition of ATLANTIC-ACM's U.S. Wholesale Carrier Report Card, which evaluates the performance of wholesale carriers in key delivery areas based on hundreds of ratings by their wholesale customers.
AT&T won awards in the following categories:
Brand
Network Performance
Voice Product Quality
"The network is the foundation of AT&T's comprehensive service portfolio, and this is the fourth time in the last six years that AT&T has won an award for network performance," said Judy Reed Smith, CEO, ATLANTIC-ACM. "AT&T consistently receives high marks from its wholesale customers, and is continually improving services to meet their changing needs."
The 2009 U.S. Wholesale Carrier Report Card analyzes customer feedback in the traditional wholesale telecommunications market as well as in emerging technologies. Wholesale providers gain understandings of their market positions with respect to areas such as billing, provisioning, network, customer service and pricing. Resellers gain access to carrier profiles detailing their product offerings as well as individual providers' strengths and weaknesses. A comprehensive overview of the wholesale industry is included in the study.
"We are pleased to accept these accolades and are committed to providing our wholesale customers with the network-driven capabilities and applications they need to effectively run their businesses," said Sherry Charles, vice president, Wholesale and GEM Solutions Marketing, AT&T Operations, Inc. "Our strategy is to employ the AT&T global network to implement business solutions for our customers that combine the core transport services we are known for, with new and innovative solutions that help them increase productivity, reduce costs and grow revenues with new services to their own customers."
Through investment in its IP network as well as merger integration of its various networks and service portfolios, AT&T delivers a best-in-class product set in the form of differentiated, wholesale grade solutions.
As a global leader, AT&T delivers a full portfolio of end-to-end, reliable and highly secure network, voice, data and IP solutions to carriers, wireless operators, cable providers, systems integrators, Internet service providers and content providers.
