SRS Labs Targets 46 Million SRS-Equipped Flat Panel TVs by End of 2009
SRS TruSurround and TruVolume Audio Solution Suites Custom-Tuned to Provide Surround Sound Experience Over Two Speakers and Eliminate Volume Fluctuations, respectively

During 2008, SRS strengthened its HDTV partnerships, allowing the company to increase traction within the FPTV industry, which collectively shipped roughly 119 million(1) FPTVs globally last year. In 2008, SRS-equipped FPTVs accounted for approximately 36 million(1) of the total units shipped, which represents a 30-percent(1) estimated market share. And, based upon current 2009 projections, surrounding market trends and year-over-year FPTV unit growth of 12.5 percent(1), SRS expects to increase its market share to reach 34-percent. It is estimated that approximately 46 million FPTVs will ship with SRS technologies during 2009.
