Arima Communications handset shipments to grow over 43% in 2Q09, says paper
Arima Communications is expected to see its handset shipments grow over 43% sequentially to 3.3 million units in the second quarter of 2009, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted company president Owen Chen as indicating.
Arima is estimated to have generated a profit of NT$50-70 million (US$1.48-2.07 million) on shipments of 2.3 million handsets in the first quarter, the paper quoted Chen as saying. Chen also noted that the company's revenues, total handset shipments and ASP (average sell price) for 2009 will be on par with the levels reached in 2008.
