Qisda lands 3.5G data card orders from CHT, says paper
Qisda has landed 3.5G data card orders from Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), which had previously purchased devices solely from China-based Huawei Technologies, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
CHT is likely to purchase about 130,000-140,000 HSDPA-enabled data cards in 2009 as the carrier aims to more than double the number of its 3.5G data card subscribers to 250,000 by the end of the year. CHT had 120,000 data card subscribers at the end of 2008, the paper said.
